Lauren, a talented tattoo artist originally from Woodland Hills, CA, has been practicing her craft since 2017. Throughout her career, she has both learned from other artists and had the privilege of teaching her artistic skill set to aspiring artists. Having worked in various tattoo shops in the Los Angeles area, Lauren decided to open her own shop called 1927 Tattoo, paying homage to her grandparents Kennison Lee Vowell (born in 1927) and Jane Frances Vowell (born in 1926), who have been among her biggest supporters. The shop itself reflects the spirit of the 1920s, with a captivating portrait of Lauren's grandparents adorning the walls.
1927 Tattoo stands out as one of the most relaxed, distinctive, and professional tattoo shops in the Los Angeles area. The comfortable atmosphere and exceptional customer service ensure that clients have an above-average experience during their visit. When Lauren established 1927 Tattoo, her goal was to create a space where both she and her clients could feel at ease, collaborating to bring their tattoo ideas to life in a clean and safe environment.
Lauren takes great pleasure in creating custom pieces, where she works closely with her clients to design unique works of art for their bodies. She approaches each project with meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to perfection, striving to provide outstanding quality in this competitive industry. Her preferred tattoo styles encompass a range, including realism, neo-traditional, new school, cartoons, fine line, and watercolor.
